MAY IS NATIONAL BIKE MONTH!
Gresham is celebrating National Bike Month in May with a variety of events. May is a great time to dust off your bike and get it ready to ride around town as the weather warms up. Gresham has many excellent bike facilities, and many enthusiastic bike riders. Whether you’re a seasoned bike commuter, want to learn more about how and where to ride, or are just “bike-curious”, come to one of the Bike Month events! All events are free and open to the public. Guided Bike Ride
- WHEN: May 15, 9:45am (ride starts at 10)
- WHERE: Meet at the Main City Park parking lot
- INFO: The ride is about 8 miles long, and maps will be distributed at the beginning of the walk.
Way to Go Fair
- WHEN: May 19, 11:30am to 1:30pm
- WHERE: Gresham City Hall Plaza (near the MAX stop)
- INFO: Take some time on your lunch break to learn about the great transportation options in Gresham.

TRY WALKING…Why Stay Inside?
Walk with us this summer! GRCTMA, in collaboration with the City of Gresham, will be hosting monthly weekend and weekday walks from May to October. Please join us for one or all of the walks! For weekday walkers, we will be hosting our Walk and Learn walks every third Wednesday at lunch time. For recreational walkers, we will also have walks every second Saturday leaving from Farmer’s Market.
All events are free and open to the public. The fitness walks will be more strenuous, but comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and a water bottle are recommended for all walks. We look forward to walking with you this summer!

Walk There! – Fitness Walk

- INFO: Coach Carmen, an experienced racewalker and president of Racewalkers NW who also writes a walking blog for the Oregonian, will lead a walk focues on exercise. She’ll give tips on form and show us a great route highlighted in Metro’s “Walk There!” book.
